The Grapevine started life in 2005 as The Bantry Grapevine, a black and white publication designed to keep the people of Bantry up to date with events and activities happening in the local area. Since its first issue in February 2005, it has grown to become a much sought after source of local information, and has increased its circulation from 3000 to 6000, now covering the wider West Cork area and South Kerry.
The Grapevine is predominantly a community based magazine, welcoming contributions and articles from local people on any subject that may be of interest to the readers.
The magazine is regularly posted overseas to friends and relatives who have left town and who are delighted to receive news from home.
The magazine is now available in an easy to read format online – particularly useful for those readers outside of our usual delivery areas. Printed in full colour, The Grapevine is also a must read for those visiting the area – during the summer months, tourists find it an indispensable travel guide, with plenty of useful information on local attractions, facilities and activities.
Advertising rates are competitive, with regular special offers and opportunities to advertise your business to the wider West Cork and South Kerry community. Our advertisers report tremendous benefits from the increased exposure that The Grapevine provides.
Community and voluntary groups also reap the benefits of being able to make contact with the people of West Cork and South Kerry via The Grapevine, by boosting their fundraising efforts and marketing strategies with regular updates in the magazine.
Whether you are an advertiser or a reader ( or both! ), you are sure to find something of interest in The Grapevine – it really does have something for everyone.
